With New Year’s Eve only a few days away, I started to think about some of my favorite songs I would like to hear to ring in the New Year. I had a little help from DJ Jay Sims too! So sit back, press play and have a very Happy 2014!
- “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke-I know this was the “song of the summer,” but it still remains my “guilty pleasure” and I know all of you secretly love this song too!
- “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve” by Harry Connick, Jr.– The title says it all, and who could resist a slow dance by this wonderful crooner.
- “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO-Jay says this is a great song to get the party started.
- “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang-Another classic, and no matter what the haters may say, this one always packs the dance floor on New Year’s Eve, according to Jay!
- “Timber” by Pitbull & Ke$ha-Both Jay and I love this new hit song! Ke$ha says “you better dance.”
- “Auld Lang Syne” by Louis Armstrong-This version is from my favorite movie, “When Harry Met Sally.” The song is a classic, and it is even better when watching Harry trying to figure out the meaning of the lyrics after professing his love to Sally on New Year’s Eve.
From all of us at Something 2 Dance 2, we wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
