Happy New Year! 2014 was a great year for music, so I started to think about some of my favorite songs from last year that I would like to hear in the New Year. I had a little help from DJ Jay Sims too! So sit back, press play and have a very Happy 2015!
“Happy” by Pharrell Williams-How can you not tap your toes and smile when you hear this song? It was a popular Bridal Party and Bride and Groom entrance song at many of our weddings this past year and it also happens to be my favorite new song of 2014.
“Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift-DJ Jay Sims likes to play this song as a mix with “Happy” to get the younger guests dancing early on.
“All of Me” by John Legend-Not the remix! The original was one of our most played First Dance Songs. I am a romantic, and I love this song even more after I found out that John Legend sang this song to his wife on their wedding day.
“All About that Bass” by Meghan Trainor-A great dance song at weddings especially for the ladies! Also a fun song to use for the Bouquet Toss. Let’s face it, we all love to shake our booty once in awhile, right?
“Fancy” by Iggy Izalea-There is something about this song that cracks me up each time I hear it. A fun crowd pleaser at weddings especially when everybody sings the chorus together.
“Fireball” by Pitbull-Both older and younger guests love the caribbean vibe of this song. A great choice for all generations attending your wedding celebration.
From all of us at Something 2 Dance 2, we wish you a Happy, Healthy and Fancy new year!
