We love our clients at Something 2 Dance 2 because they are always fun and open to creative ideas! So you can imagine how excited I was to see one of our upcoming bride & groom’s clever RSVP go viral! Katie & Chris will be tying the knot on September 21, and they used their unique sense of humor to create the funniest RSVP card I have ever seen! And I have been in the wedding business a long time!
On the RSVP card, some of the options for guests who wanted to respond yes included: “Two words: Free. Booze.” and “I’m in your wedding party, idiot. Wait, is this optional?”
Options for declining included gems such as, “I’ll be watching the Cubs win the World Series” which was scratched out, followed by “Edit: these options are meant to be circumstances that could actually happen.”
Before long, the link was shared on Facebook, Twitter and various other social media outlets. Some family and friends later told Katie that, instead of wedding favors, the couple should autograph the RSVPs.
Katie, who works in social media, said this is the first time she’s seen one of her posts garner so much Internet attention. “It’s going to be a little fun for our wedding scrapbook,” she said.
And of course we cannot wait to be a part of such a fun wedding reception!
Thank you to the Chicago Tribune, for sharing this fun story with everybody! It really made my day and so many of my fellow wedding industry friends smile!
